New Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder Flushed Review

This has been the year of blushes I think. So many brands came out with such pretty blushes. For us as consumers, there are so many options to pick from. Different finishes, colors, lasting powers, the list is endless. One new blush I tried this month is the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder Flushed – Matte Color for Cheek & Lip.

The Sephora website says this is “Inspired by our award-winning Blurring Balm Powder, this buildable, soft matte formula blurs and smooths cheek and lip with all day wear.”

Packaging Of The Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder Flushed
The product comes in a plastic pot similar to her Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder. Since the lid of the product is transparent you can see the product inside. This however does not come with a scooper/spatula to pick up the product. I just use my fingers to apply the blush to my face.

Formula Of The Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder Flushed
The Sephora website says “This powder is formulated with upsalite technology for unrivaled blurring and oil control. This Swedish technology creates a soft focus, smoothing effect on pores and fine lines. Create the perfect flush of color on cheeks and lips with ease. It is also vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free, and comes in recyclable packaging.”
The highlighted ingredients are:
- Upsalite that supports and absorbs excess sebum and sweat while maintaining skin hydration
- Olive Derived Squalane which is known to support oil production and diminish visible signs of aging
- Hyaluronic Acid that promotes skin hydration

Shades Of The Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder Flushed
- Rosé N Brunch – neutral rosey pink

- Bellini – poppy golden peach
- Dancing Queen – vivid plum
I have the shade Jubilee for this review today. Additionally, I have swatches of all the shades in my reel. I popped into my local Sephora and was able to swatch all the shades in this collection.

My Experience
The Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder Flushed starts out creamy but sets into a powder soon. In fact the balm to powder formula is easy to blend and lasts for eight plus hours on my combination skin. It is also pigmented and goes over my foundation easily, without moving the product underneath.
I have used this on my lips and cheeks. Even though it looks beautiful on the lips, I prefer hydrating lip products. This shade is a beautiful matte shade on the lips and cheeks. I prefer it more as a blush, but that is just a personal preference. Also since this is very pigmented, a little bit goes a long way.
I have used this with just my fingers and also a brush and it works well both ways.

*The shade Jubilee is gifted with no obligation to make a blog post about it.
